Common area studio workspaces in our
historic pottery factory for creating and
glazing;
Lockers to hold your unfinished work,

Basic supplies: clay, glazes, brushes, & tools

Kiln firing for small or very large pieces (up to
11 feet tall ~ floor space in each large gas kiln
is 227 square feet and 314 square feet)

Ceramist Level:  Monthly Fee: $100    Includes 7
cubic feet of firing per month and up to 30 hours of

Artist Studios
There are currently ten private artist studios
at Panama, ranging from 300 - 800 square
feet each.  All studios are currently rented.  
Please call or email if you are interested in
being on a waiting list.  
Tours, Pottery Production, & Sales

guided tours exploring an almost 100 year-
old production of pottery;
walk through kilns as large as a small
house;
discover the process of turning raw clay
into art;
pottery demonstrations of handmaking
large pots and wheel thrown pottery (by
request for scheduled groups)
glaze your own pot and take it home
groups of (for scheduled groups for a fee)

group tour.  Basic tours are free.  Fee for pottery

Are you interested in firing items in our kiln?

Our large kilns are fired to Cone 06-1  
Cost is $20/cubic foot for a single firing

50 cubic foot kiln: can be fired to cone 10  ~
$100 per run

Plus $20/hour labor for loading and unloading

Terra cotta clay (low fire) can be purchased for
50 cents a pound.
